Upstate NY Trip 2025
Our retreat starts with a 7-mile boat ride across Long Lake in the Adirondacks to a private base camp, where we’ll unplug and get back to basics. Some will camp, others will share a cozy four-bed cabin.

Machu Pichu Trip 2026
Why it matters – In many modern cultures, structured rites of passage have faded, leaving boys without clear guidance as they navigate the challenges of adolescence.
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco
- Welcome and orientation session: Get to know fellow participants and facilitators.
- Group bonding activities: Icebreakers and team-building exercises to establish rapport and create a supportive atmosphere while having dinner together.
- Introduction to Andean culture: Learn about the rich history and spiritual traditions of the Andean people.


Day 2: Soraypampa – Humantay lake – Salkantaypampa – Ichupata (15 km / 9.3 mi/ 6 hours)
- We start this day particularly early (4:30 am) and drive for 3 hours to Soraypampa. Then we will start our hiking journey by visiting Humantay Lake and sleep in Ichupata, also known as Pampa Japonesa, next to the great Salkantay Mountain and a beautiful glacial lake.

Day 3: Ichupata – Sisaypampa – Canal Inca (13 km / 8 mi/ 8 hours)
- Wake up with a cup of coffee or Andean tea watching the sunrise. Our adventure kicks off with a thrilling ascent to the summit of the Inca Chiriasca Pass, affectionately known as the “Frozen Inca Pass” (5,100 meters / 16,732 feet).
- Within just 20-30 minutes, we’ll reach the pinnacle, treating ourselves to breathtaking views of the Glacier Valley and the majestic Salkantay Mountain. From this lofty vantage point, take in the awe-inspiring landscapes of this region.
- Catch sight of the distant Ausangate, Cusco’s loftiest peak, standing proud over 90 miles away! Following our descent from the pass, we’ll traverse through the scenic
- Pampaccahuana Valley, tracing the meandering stream until we arrive at our second campsite nestled beside a quaint village.

Day 4: Canal Inca – Wayllabamba – Ayapata (15 km / 9.3 mi/7 hours)
- Following a hearty breakfast, we’ll commence a leisurely 3-hour descent through the Pampacahuana Valley, eventually arriving at Paucar Cancha (3,143 meters / 10,410 feet), An archaeological site that’s like a hidden treasure, rarely visited by tourists.
- .As we venture further, the valley’s inviting ambiance and milder climate will signal our nearing approach to the famed Inca Trail. Lunch will be served amidst the ancient Inca ruins. Recharged and eager, we’ll press on for another 30 minutes to Wayllabamba, pausing to explore yet another fascinating Inca site before reaching the second checkpoint of the Classic Inca Trail. Our journey continues with an additional 2-hour hike to Ayapata, our designated campsite for the night. With the evening at your leisure, indulge in a satisfying dinner and retire to your tent for a well-deserved rest.

Day 5: Ayapata – Warmiwañuska – Chaquicocha (16km / 9.9 mi) (9 hours)
- You’ll wake to a hot drink in your tent to wake your body up. Today, we gear up to tackle the toughest part of the Inca Trail: the Death Women Pass and the Runkuraqay Pass. The initial ascent will last 4 hours, leading us through rocky terrain to Warmiwañuska, the highest point of the trek. Upon arrival, we’ll take in the breathtaking scenery and sometimes encounter misty fog that envelops this section of the trail.
- Once we’ve reached the summit, we’ll descend for lunch and savor a hearty meal before our next leg. Following a 2-hour hike, we’ll conquer the Runkurakay Pass, where an ancient archaeological site awaits exploration. Continuing our journey, we’ll visit another Inca site named Sayacmarca before settling into our second camp at Chaquicocha (3,600 m / 11,811 ft.). Here, you’ll have the opportunity to witness a stunning sunset over the Vilcabamba mountain range before dinner.

Day 6: Chaquiccocha – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñaywayna (10km / 6.2 millas/ 6 hour)
- This day will be a relaxing hiking compared to the previous day.With just a half-day of hiking, you’ll have the afternoon free to unwind and prepare for the final stretch of the Inca Trail. Along this easier segment, you’ll have the opportunity to explore some of the most captivating Inca sites, such as Phuyupatamarca (City in the Clouds), Intipata, and Wiñaywayna (Forever Young), the second most significant site after Machu Picchu.
- Our lunch spot will be near Wiñaywayna, where you can freshen up with a shower and delve into the exploration of this remarkable Inca site. Wiñaywayna showcases some of the finest architecture along the Inca Trail, featuring terraces, dwellings, and watchtowers, all set against breathtaking vistas of the valley below and the Urubamba River. Following our exploration, we’ll return to the campsite for tea, dinner, and a special surprise!
- Closing ceremony: Honor the culmination of the journey with a ceremonial closing, acknowledging individual growth and the bonds formed.
Day 7: Wiñaywayna – Machupicchu – Cusco (6km / 3.7 millas/ 2 hours)
- On our final day we gear up for the ultimate leg of the Inca Trail. After clearing the last checkpoint, we’ll embark on a one-hour hike to the Sun Gate (Intipunku), offering a breathtaking first glimpse of Machu Picchu. Hiking for one more hour from there leads us directly to the Citadel itself.
- Accompanied by our guide, you’ll have the privilege of exploring the awe-inspiring lost city of the Incas, generally with fewer crowds, allowing for a more intimate experience. In the afternoon, we’ll venture to Aguas Calientes for lunch before boarding the train to Ollantaytambo. Settle into the panoramic train, where you can relax and enjoy the journey amidst stunning vistas. Finally, we’ll hop on the beautiful sky train to your hotel in Cusco, and say goodbye to this unforgettable adventure.
